Researchers at the Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change used artificial intelligence to analyse more than 100,000 studies on climate change. The results of this analysis, published in the journal Nature Climate Change, show that 80% of the planet will suffer the effects of climate change.
The studies address mainly butterfly migration, heat-related human deaths, and changes in forests. Researcher Max Callaghan stated that the study “leaves no doubt that the climate crisis is already being felt almost everywhere in the world. It is also well documented scientifically.” However, he pointed out that there is little data in developing countries, especially in Africa.
