Journalist Shireen Abu Akleh, a correspondent for the Arabic-language Al-Jazeera TV channel, was killed on Wednesday morning by gunfire from the occupation forces while covering clashes in the Jenin area of the occupied West Bank.
In the wake of the news of the tragedy, the Qatari news channel said that its journalist had been killed “in cold blood” by Israeli forces. According to the channel, Abu Akleh was shot “in the face”while wearing her“press”vest. Images of the drama broadcast on social networks attest to these claims.
A Palestinian in her fifties, Shireen Abu Akleh had worked at The Voice of Palestine, Radio Monte Carlo, before joining Al-Jazeera, where she became known throughout the Middle East for reporting on the occupation of Palestine by the Zionist entity.
